The Digital Production Partnership Ltd (DPP) is a not for profit company founded by ITV, BBC and Channel 4 to enable the media industry to maximise the potential of digital in the creation and exploitation of content.

What we do

The Coming Storm?

In 2011 the DPP commissioned a report from Mediasmiths International called The Reluctant Revolution.  That report looked at the obstacles to end-to-end digital production in television, including why emerging cloud services were having so little impact.

A lot has happened to cloud services since, so in September 2013 the DPP commissioned Mediasmiths to update the findings of their earlier work in this new report, and to provide an assessment of the applicability of cloud technology and services to broadcast processes and key media business areas.
